Food Safety has been an increasing concern in the produce industry. At Northeast Produce Inc. we have maintained our own Food Safety Program since 2007. In the past few years we have implemented many programs which help ensure that the product which we receive, pack and distribute is Food Safe.
We are proud to say our facility is HACCP approved. Product is monitored and tracked throughout our entire process from receiving to distribution. We have a chemical wash system in place which helps eliminate potential bacteria on our product, and our equipment is swab tested once a week to look for any signs of bacteria such as salmonella and lysteria. Our facility is clean, and our equipment is sanitized and checked everyday for any hazardous issues.
In order to keep our food safety promise, we undergo random 3rd party visits and audits to our facilities on a yearly basis and our success is evident.
